Silver Whiskers Animal Rescue was born of a collective love and celebration of senior and special needs animals. Located just across the MD/PA border, the rescue owes its name and inspiration to the Silver Whiskers Farm, where senior fosters are our favorites!
Senior and special needs animals are perhaps the most vulnerable members of the rescue community, neglected and abandoned and at a significantly greater risk of euthanasia. And once they are in rescue, they often require additional care before they are ready to be adopted, from dentals, to blood work, to daily medication.
Here at Silver Whiskers Animal Rescue, our objectives include helping to raise awareness and funds to support senior and special needs pets in our community; providing information on senior cat care; and working with local rescues to provide care to senior foster animals who are waiting for their forever homes.
